We had an amazing time at the AMA: Community Chat with you! Hope that you enjoyed your time with our queen Zoe Hoang. Here are some highlights and fantastic questions from the event.
Part I: Introducing new updates
1. Why did we separate communities for web2 and web3 members?
As discussed in the previous Community Call, after one year of building a strong community, we’ve come to the decision of creating 2 separate channels for the following reasons:
With the vision of building an exciting gaming world, we want to bring more traditional gamers closer to the cutting-edge Blockchain technology.
We recognize that the interests between players who love gaming and those who are into crypto are different, so the content for each group needs to be appropriately curated.
You can join the web3 group chat here: https://t.me/+4MuqRi5T0CY2ZjNl
2. Ultra top secret stuff coming up in the next 3 months
Introducing Nmax.
As stated earlier, if NFTs are generated in a rampant manner then NFT inflation will occur. Nmax is set to limit the amount of NFTs generated by adjusting the price every time the amount of NFTs in the market
First version of SA World
In the next 2 months, we will be putting in our best efforts to launch the first version of SA World including SA Assistant, SA Citizen System, SA Event and SA Game Center. After the launch, we will continue to upgrade these applications in order to bring you the best experience from SA World.
Expanding the SA World community on Facebook:
This shall be a traditional centralized platform with special events to drive web2 players to SA World. Feel free to stop by to say hi with our new friends once we public the page and the group.
Our birthday is coming up
Finally, look forward to Summoners Arena: Idle RPG's biggest 1st birthday event of the year at the end of May. Curious about these special items?
Part II: Community AMA
@STEPN: "Is the delay in listing SAE right when many top players have left and want to leave?"
From the observation of other projects that have listed on multiple exchanges and are struggling to retain and acquire new players, I think we all know the answer. The inability to reach new players was caused by how the income from the game is too vague for players to be willing to invest money and too little for the old people to reinvest. The reality and struggle of projects that rely solely on financial incentives to attract players proves that this model may not be sustainable.
If we follow the same path, we all know 100% where we will end up. However, if we find a new model, at least we have the chance of being successful.
Why do top players want to leave the game? Why is it hard to find new players?
It is widely acknowledged that, at the moment, many NFT players, including those at Summoners Arena, are primarily driven by financial incentives. Frankly speaking, if we follow the same approach as other projects, it may only provide a temporary solution to the current situation, or even fail altogether, as many web3 users have already lost their faith in the web3 gaming landscape.
What solutions can we implement to attract new users and keep our early supporters engaged?
Creating a new stream of finance into our games that are not from players motivated by financial incentives is one of our key solutions. We define our players into 2 groups and both of them play important roles within the SA World ecosystem.
Group 1: Web3 gamers. Their role is producing exclusive resources that will be used across the SA World ecosystem.
Group 2: Gamers. This is a group of players that enjoy playing games. Their role is to spend the resources that produced by players in the first group
For now, we already have amazing web3 supporters who have been with us for over a year. Our most important goal moving forward is to develop the gamers group by creating more fun games and running more marketing activities in the traditional gaming industry, reducing the barriers to entry for web 2 users, so that they can enjoy the platform without being hindered by the complexities of blockchain.
We have taken our first step by creating 2 different Telegram groups. The public Telegram group is for gaming discussion and the other private one is exclusively for the web3 community.
Why don't users see any improvement even though your team has been mentioning it for almost 2 months?
Our founding team actually had the idea of building a gaming ecosystem 1 year ago. Developing a suitable infrastructure and economic design takes time, and implementing these plans into reality is a long process.
However, we are very close to the testnet launch SA World and after that, we will see a lot more actions from us to attract new users.
So when is SAE listed?
As mentioned above, listing solely won't help with the current situation. It would take us around several months more to test the current model. After that, we will consider our listing plans.
@Questlog: As the line between being a Web2 or a Web3 game is slowly fading, do you think the campaign should get a small rework to lower the steepness of difficulty?
Our team is working on it, too. In the future, the main function of NFTs is to produce ASG. For example:
NFTs would allow the Arena and some other specific features that help generating ASG only.
NFT might not be used in the game features that don’t require NFT components.
This will help reduce the gap between NFT holders and non-NFT holders in terms of gameplay. To address concerns about old players having an unfair advantage over new players, we are considering implementing a tiered reward system with different levels for new and old players. This will help ensure that everyone has a fair chance to succeed and progress in the game.
@DânChơiXóm: It would be great if SA has web 2 players, but idle RPG game usually get them bored, so what would you do to get rid of that situation? More features, more events, new heroes,... or even free-to-earn?
Different users will have different tastes in games. That’s why we launched SA World that allows different types of games to be launched on the platform. We will also host a lot of different events that suit everyone rather than events for Summoners Arena: Idle RPG.
About the earning concept, in our opinion, allowing users to earn is a great model that let users really own the ecosystem. However, we think that it shouldn’t not be open to everyone. Only a limited number of users should have that right. In our case, it is NFT holders. With that being said, the number of NFT will be limited so that all users won’t be able to easily create NFTs.
@Mr.Nguyen: As far as I can see, the number of NFT circulating is a lot compared to the number of players at the moment. Recently, the market is not doing really well, so many NFT holders are worried and panicking. Many NFT Heroes sit in the account doing nothing, does the team have a plan or a feature to make those redundant heroes more useful?
As mentioned in the answer for the first question, the role of NFT holders is producing exclusive resources that will be used across the SA World ecosystem.
Increasing the demands for resources produced by the NFT holders would be the solution for this issue. It is correct to say that the number of NFT circulating is a lot compared to the number of players at the moment. However, Nmax will soon be implemented, which means NFTs will be limited. If we successfully increase the demand for ASG, the demand for NFTs will increase accordingly
@Chanh: With a large amount of SAE being rewarded after seasons, when the SAE list is sold, there will be a panic sell situation. What will you do to limit that situation, when everyone wants the SAE list to sell after many seasons?
Just a friendly reminder, as we announced towards the end of last year, earning rewards in SAE will become more challenging in the future. Please refer to this link for more details:
Earning SAE will get harder and harder in the future. Regarding the large-scale panic selling, in my opinion, there are two main reasons:
Lack of faith in the project
Lack of real use cases or demand for the token.
This is why we are prioritizing product development rather than rushing into token listings.
Our first priority is to build trust with our users, particularly our current ones.
We understand that despite constantly sharing our plan and progress, only a few members have faith in our vision. Therefore, we need to demonstrate that we are on the right track before pursuing token listings. Secondly, SAE will be the primary token in SA World. If SA World is successful, there will be a high demand for SAE.
In the future, will there be any way for someone without any investment to earn their way up to a P2E team, even though it could take a lot of time and skill?
Apart from the scholarship program, we also allow users to get some reward by actively contributing to SA World (like: random airdrop to top Active Point - AP users - that's not a bad idea at all, right?). Or we will also have Free Arena in the future which allows users to earn rewards, too. Or users can earn via participating in our events. However, the rewards might not be as attractive as NFT owners.
That’s a wrap!
Once again, thank you so much for joining our AMA! We picked 5 members with the best questions to receive our BUSD reward. Congratulations and we hope to see you again in our next events!
